Last week at North Shore High School, our students channeled their inner Picassos by creating cubist self-portraits with oil pastels. Students traced their own photo portraits onto paper, then used grids to triple the size of their work before creating prisms and blending oil pastels in various shades to create a beautiful work of art. This project is the first in a series of art projects that will form our first Art Elective. Projects are available at later dates so students can feel free to come in and make a self-portrait of their own!
